Making Good Use of RegTool on Your Computer

regtoolHaving a computer that runs quickly and responds well to all of our commands is really a great thing. Whenever the computer is running poorly and slowly, it can be one of the more frustrating experiences that we have to deal with. Many of us have to sit at our computer for hours out of the day and if it is not working right, it can make time move much more slowly for us.

That is why it is important for you to make sure that you keep your windows program running as smoothly as possible. One of the more common things that occurs to Windows is for the registry to become corrupted or perhaps duplicate lines of code to occur on the inside. Whenever these things happen, the computer naturally slows down because it has to look through a lot more information in order to get the direction where it needs to go.

It is not always necessary for you to take your computer to the store or to have somebody who understands the Windows registry to come over to fix it for you. This is not only time-consuming, it can also be extremely expensive and frustrating in the process. Fortunately, there are some things that you can do in order to take care of this process on your own but some care needs to be taken ahead of time.

Registry cleaners are a dime a dozen and you would probably be surprised what exactly how many are available for download on the Internet. Since there are so many of these programs that are available, they can make it difficult to choose the one that you were going to use on your own computer. Although we would recommend RegTool right off the bat, you might want to do a little bit of research yourself.

The first thing that you should do is to look at some of the review websites that are on the Internet in order to find out what they have to say about this program. Look for ones that have feedback from multiple sources, not simply one person’s opinion on the program itself.

Once you have decided on the program to use, you will be able to scan your computer for free using the download from their website. These scans are complete and it will give you a list of all of the different problems that you are experiencing within the Windows registry at that time. This can be a rather eye-opening experience.

Finally, you need to allow the program to clean your computer and get rid of any problems that have been defined. This is often an automated process but many programs will also give you the ability to walk it, step-by-step through to the completion. After a restart of your computer, you should notice that the registry has been cleaned because you will no longer be crashing and you will see a marked improvement in the overall speed of your computer.

How to Backup and Restore Your Windows XP Registry

regtool

You may need to backup your Windows XP registry for a number of reasons. The registry must be backed up before any changes are made to it. This enables restoration if any changes made should cause problems. There are three common methods of doing a backup. 1. Using Windows XP System Restore. This is a windows component which makes regular logs of the registry, operating system and configuration settings. 2. Using Registry Editor (REGEDIT) which is also installed in your computer. 3. Using repair applications. All good repair applications will do a backup before editing.

1. To Use XP Systems Restore:

1. Click on START-> All Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> System Restore.

2. Go to Select a Restore Point, click on Restore my computer to an earlier time and click NEXT.

3 .Choose the date you wish to restore your system to, and click on Next.

4. On Confirm Restore Point Selection, confirm the date then click on NEXT to begin the restoration.

5. The system will revert to exactly the way it was at the time you selected.

2. To Use REGEDIT:

A. Click on START->Run->type Regedit->click OK .

B. In the REGEDIT window click on File and then click on Export.

C. Type the name of your backup file in the File box.

D. Go to the Export range section, click on All to back up the complete registry or you can backup a selected part of it by choosing the selected branch of your choice and typing the branch you need to backup in the box.

E. Click on Save and save your backup as a .reg file in the location you specify.

F. To restore your registry via this backup, go to the .reg file you want to restore and double-click on it. Click on Yes to confirm the selection. This method of backup and restore is very useful but it does not reverse any changes you may have made after the backup. It only reverses the entries that are in the .reg file.

3. To Use A Registry Repair Application:

Repair applications are an easy method of backup and restore. Good repair programs will do a backup before carrying out any changes. They will then do a scan and edit out errors and unnecessary files. Most registry repair tools have a button which will backup it up to a file. To restore the registry you click on the button, find this file and do the restoration. The advantage of making use of a repair tool is that they are very simple to use and you need know nothing about the registry to use them.

There are a number of circumstances which may require doing a registry restore:

1. To repair problems caused by a new program install or uninstall.

2. To fix bad entries resulting from a system or software crash.

3. To remove entries placed there by spyware, adware or other malware.

4. To correct changes made in error during a manual edit.

5. To restore after a problem caused by a scan and repair.

Our recommendation is that a good registry repair application should always be used to effect repair. If manual editing is attempted it may result in very serious problems if essential entries are removed in error. In this case the computer may become completely inoperable and even if a backup has been made it will not be possible to use it. In this worst case scenario a complete reinstallation of the operating system may be the only way to get the computer working again. Needless to say this is not a happy outcome.

We have tested most of the popular registry repair tools and we found that, whilst they will all do the work, some are much better than others. We found one program that was definitely superior to the others and which found up to 50% more errors than some other applications. This is the registry fix which we chose to install on our own computers.

Would you like to know which registry repair tool we found to be superior to the others? Would you like to get a free scan to repair errors? You will find this and a whole lot of free information and resources available at our website.Check it out here: http://www.bestregistryrepaironline.com

Freeware Registry Cleaner for a Hassle-free Computing Experience

regtoolEven if you’re not an expert when it comes to computers, you must know how the Windows registry affects a computer’s performance. The registry is where your computer keeps its software and hardware configurations, as well as information regarding its system setting. Whenever you install or uninstall programs in your computer, an entry is created on the registry. Too many entries in the registry can make your computer perform slowly over time. Also, outdated entries contribute to the inefficiency of your machine. To eliminate these outdated registry entries from your computer, you will need a freeware registry cleaner.

Freeware registry cleaners are effective tools for computer owners. These registry cleaning tools not only make computers run more smoothly, but also save them from security and privacy threats of malicious programs.

So how do you choose the right freeware registry cleaner for your computer? It can be quite confusing to pick the best program for your needs, as there are many freeware registry cleaning programs that can be downloaded from the Internet. The most important feature you must look for is the scheduled scan or auto scanning facility. This facility enables the user to schedule the registry scanning. And at the scheduled time, the software will scan the registry and fix any error it has found. Some registry cleaners come with a feature that can create a backup of the registry. This feature allows you to restore your registry in case a problem arises after the registry cleanup.

Also, you need to make sure that your system’s specifications are compatible with the freeware registry cleaner you’re going to download. It’s because each version of Windows operating system has different methods of storing registry entries. Thus, it’s necessary that you install only the exact registry cleaning software for your computer.

There are some freeware registry cleaners that require certain memory capacity and hard disk space. So before you download a registry cleaning program, make sure that its requirements match the system specifications of your computer.

To guide you with choosing the best registry cleaning program for your computer, there are reviews that you can read from several websites. One of the recommended sites is www.RegistryClearer.com, which provides computer users valuable information on some registry cleaning programs on the Web.

Once you’ve installed a registry cleaner into your computer, you can now run the software. While the software is running, it scans the registry to detect errors. At the same time, it gets rid of outdated registry entries and keeps the valid ones. A good registry cleaning program is expected to remove traces of incomplete uninstall processes. Also, it must be able to delete fragments and empty spaces within the registry. The registry cleaner may even remove the embedded keys used by malware.

Thanks to a registry cleaner, you can always enjoy using your computer with fast speeds and without any hassle.

Registry Repair – A Basic How To

regtool

The windows registry is one of if not the most important component of your windows operating system(OS). Because of this it must be clean and free of errors for your PC to run smooth and error free.

In this article I will try and give you some best practices and guidelines to repairing the windows registry.

First thing you should know is that manually editing the registry is not for the average user, there are hundreds of  thousands of entries in the windows registry and changing or deleting the wrong one can cause your PC to stop booting forever, Yes I said STOP BOOTING FOREVER.

If you have manually edited the windows registry and now you cannot boot your only choice may be to re-install windows, if that does not work you may have to wipe your hard drive and start fresh, this can be a major pain trying to find all the drivers and support software for your system.

Assuming you have not manually edited your registry, the next thing you should know is that there are a ton of different registry repair software tittles available on the market.

This brings me to my own little rule for working any problem with windows, The rule of three, is my personal rule,. And it states that anything you want to do in windows you should have three different pieces of software to achieve. I have found that no matter how good the software or how many promises they make you, no one piece of software can do the job completely. To really get things done in windows requires a multi pronged approached. If I want to clean the adware or spyware off of my system I will use three different programs, Adaware, Spybot S&D, and Spyware blaster. Run them one at a time and then follow their instructions.

I use this same rule for the Registry Three different programs that all do the same thing but in different ways. The reason this is necessary is because windows is so complex and so is the registry, one piece of software may not find things another will, If after running the third piece of registry repair software it does not find anymore problems with your registry you can feel pretty good that your Windows registry of clean and error free.

Run the 1st piece of registry repair software, when it finds errors, and it will, select the fix option, or repair option, do NOT choose Delete. This forces the software to try to find solutions to the problems in your registry. Most Registry repair software will do the best it can to fix the problems and any it can’t fix, it will delete. Some will try to fix and then come back to the user with results of the repair/fix attempt and ask what to do with the errors it could not fix. At this point you would select delete.

Now run the second piece of registry repair software and do the same thing as before.

Now run the third registry repair software tittle and do the same thing as before.

At this point your registry is good to go and things should boot faster and have less errors.

One last thing, some Registry repair software has an option to do deep cleaning or aggressive search, I do not recommend these options as they may damage the registry, and we are trying to repair the registry.

Here are two registry tools I recommend.

Lokin Bakshire.

I have been messing up computers and consumer electronics since I was 9years old, I quickly learned that if I did not want people to know what an idiot I was that I would have to learn to fix things myself.
That is how I got started.
I do not reccomend my path to others.
