The computer industry has often been criticized for willfully exploiting the ignorance and lack of technical ability of the average computer owner in order to profit. From the computer repair shops that manage to find a significant number of expensive hardware problems to overpriced software that doesn’t do what it supposed to, the latest scandal in this woefully long list has been registry cleaner software. One of the most frustrating aspects of this form of software is that there is no direct evidence either way as to whether or not it is indeed a reliable option and even industry experts are struggling to reach some kind of consensus between themselves.

Many registry cleaner applications (and supporters thereof) argue that they are an effective and worthwhile application because they will help speed up the computer by removing the associated clutter and invalid shortcuts, paths, and registry keys that will eventually accumulate within a registry over the course of time. This is a true claim….but there is a rather significant qualification attached to it in that in order for a computer to be slowed down to any ostensible amount, the registry would have to be extremely large indeed. Given the developments and advancements that have been made and implemented with the modern versions of the Windows Operating Systems, the problem of bloated registries slowing down overall performance has been significantly curtailed meaning that it is little more than a painful but thankfully distant memory.

It should be noted that yes, registry cleaner software applications do indeed remove unnecessary content from the registry. However, in all likeliness, the amount of content actually removed is not liable to exceed much more than a few kilobytes and so the benefits of such a cleanup is likely to be marginal if not negligible. When the potential benefit (which is marginal and remote) is measured against the very real potential risk of system instability and crashing as a result of the editing of the registry of the machine, it would seem that registry cleaner software is best left alone.

Many novice computer users associate registry cleaners with specialized virus and malware removal kits and the reality is that they are not.

The grim reality is that more sophisticated malware is designed in such a way that it can easily and speedily re infect the computer all over again through a variety of different system vectors. The malware will then lodge itself in strategic areas and locations so that the removal or editing of the malware will also result in critical system processes also being altered in some way, meaning that the user has to contend with using a compromised machine which is infected with malware, or attempt to defuse it which may end up activating it. Root kits which are special forms of malware which are specifically designed to infiltrate and embed themselves deep within the very heart of the system also cannot be safely or competently removed by means of registry cleaner programs.

More perceptive readers may have noticed a potential means of covert infiltration of computers by means of unscrupulous registry cleaner applications, and in that regard they are dead right. There has been a major increase in the number of viruses and Trojan horses which masquerade as registry programs (either as cleaners or backups) which then cause a major amount of havoc. Ranging from the merely irritating to the downright fatal, the user is strongly urged to ensure that they exercise a healthy dose of skepticism when it comes to downloading and using registry cleaner applications. Make sure that when you do use such software, that it is only from a reputable vendor.

How many of us are actually aware of the inner workings of our computer? While we may know how to carry out some rudimentary tasks and processes, these are fairly basic things to accomplish and which do not really get us any closer to appreciating the underlying concepts and issues that are involved with them.

Many of us are quite content with this state of affairs because it means that we do not need to unnecessarily concern ourselves as to the more technically demanding aspects of our computer. This is an extremely dangerous mentality to adopt because it means that we become complacent and overly confident about our computer security and hackers rely upon that crucial combination of both apathy and carelessness in order to more easily and effectively infiltrate our machines.

The dangers and risks posed by viruses and malware (the generic, catch all term used to cover all the various malicious software applications that exist on the internet) are very real and dangerous indeed. Without a shadow of doubt, one of the most dangerous of all of these applications is the key logger, which is a malicious program that embeds itself deep within the operating system making it almost impossible to detect.

The purpose of the keylogger is as simple as it is devastating, its sole premise is to record every single key stroke entered and pressed by the computer user and transcripts of the recorded keystrokes will then be submitted to a remote location for further use by the creator of the key logger application. This means that whenever the computer user accesses websites such as PayPal or other financial gateway sites, their password will be recorded, allowing for their details to be exploited and their money stolen.

If this was not scary enough, these malware applications are often combined with seemingly legitimate programs such as registry cleaner applications, and so the unsuspecting victim downloads the program in good faith and is presented with a fully working, totally functioning program that seems to do everything it is supposed to do. Unbeknown to them, there is an unwanted guest lurking in the very center of the program and a clever hacker will ensure that the editions made to the registry of the victim’s computer are done in such a way that they will not raise any suspicions.

Frankly put, it is the perfect form of camouflage: by pretending to fix the registry, malicious programs can then have a legitimate reason for accessing the registry. Furthermore, any editions that they do make will be unlikely to raise a red flag because after all, that is what a registry cleaner is supposed to do.

It is for this reason that the computer user must be extra vigilant whenever they download or seek to use a registry cleaner software package that they download from the internet, otherwise they may find that they really have strolled in the lion’s den, and managed to stick their head in its mouth…covered in barbecue sauce.

Make sure you protect yourself by only ever downloading a registry cleaner from a reputable source such as Microsoft. Be on the lookout for the url of the website, if it has https:// as opposed to http:// than you can breathe easy, as the website is a genuine site because it is relying on Secure Socket Layer technology.

Also make sure you check the security certificate for any registry cleaner software application you download, there are a number of official websites in which you can verify that the downloaded content is indeed correct, valid and authenticated.

When it comes to maintaining a healthy and efficient registry, the novice computer user is caught between a rock and a hard place because there is a lot of conflicting information on the internet concerning the usage and relevance of registry cleaner application packages. Some sites will sing their praises, arguing that they provide a quick, painless, safe and dependable manner in which the computer owner can rectify the usual myriad of problems that maybe afflicting their computer.

The proponents of the humble registry cleaner will argue that that they actually prevent to reduce both the risk and level of damage that the user poses to the registry, because put bluntly the editing of the registry is no easy task.

Critics of the registry cleaner do not pull any punches and simply unleash a full frontal assault when it comes to their criticism. A criticism that is put forward time and time again is that registry cleaners are little more than placebos for the computer user that are sold only by scare mongering and the willful as well as extremely cynical exploitation of the fears of the computer owner.

The critics argue that the facts are presented in an extremely skewered method indeed meaning that a half truth is then wrapped up in the lie making it all the more difficult for the novice computer owner to effectively or easily identify truth from fiction.

The novice user is left in the unenviable position of two extremes: either they choose not to make use of the registry cleaner software in which case they run the risk of exposing their computer to potentially unstable crashing and errors or they run a registry cleaner that may actually be a virus, or malware infected Trojan horse designed to corrupt and damage their computer.

One area in which both the critics and supporters for registry cleaner software applications have managed to achieve some consensus on is the significant role that 3rd party malware plays in terms of compromising the security and integrity of computers. Viruses and malware are without a doubt, the singularly most severe and dangerous threat that can be presented to a computer. The critics condemn malware because it provides a convenient front with which the creator of the virus can then attempt to infiltrate the machine more easily, and the supporters condemn the malware on the basis that they give legitimate registry cleaner software applications an unfair name.

That said, if you do decide to make use of a registry cleaner application, it is imperative that you are aware of the various factors to be on the lookout for, in order to maximize your chances of success.
First off, make sure that any registry cleaner program you decide to download is fully compatible with your operating system. New and modern operating systems (such as Windows Xp and Vista) employ different methods of storing information and so you may find that you run into trouble if you try to use a software program that is not compatible with your operating system. There is always a risk that the data may become corrupted so make sure that you plan accordingly.

One of the most crucial features to be on the lookout for has to be without a shadow of doubt, is the ability to backup your registry contents prior to any major alterations or editions to it being made. This way, if something should go wrong with the registry cleaning process you can always rely on your back up in order to minimize the damage which you have suffered.

I hope this article has been informative and has given you more of an insight into registry cleaner software. If you would like to learn more about the top 5 registry cleaners available on the net go to: http://top5registrycleaners.net/

If your computer is having registry problems or system issues, a Windows registry repair application may be quite beneficial. The best of these programs can clean, repair, and optimize the Windows registry safely and quickly — sometimes with just a few clicks of the mouse.

Problems with the registry are often a cause of system crashes. They can interfere with the proper operation of your application software, slow down your computer, and sometimes produce error messages.

What Can A Windows Registry Repair Application Do For Your PC?

You would expect it to fix registry errors that can cause error messages, application errors, and system crashes. Another thing it can do is clean the registry to remove old registry keys left by programs that are no longer installed. And just as your file system can become fragmented, the registry can also become fragmented during computer operation. Many of these applications can defrag the registry as an optimization. A few of these tools can find additional ways to tweak your registry in order to bring out peak performance.

Registry repair tools include features that help you repair the registry when it gets messed up, but it’s usually easier to prevent problems beforehand. Windows registry repair applications can often help prevent problems from occurring. Cleaning the registry regularly and fixing registry errors early should not only make your system more stable, it can also help improve your system’s performance without expensive upgrades of the hardware.

Ideally…

Ideally these tools should be perfectly safe. Some of them make a backup before performing any repairs so that you can easily reverse the changes, if required. Others offer an “Undo” feature.

Windows registry repair tools will scan the whole registry to find any incorrect entries and produce a list of the registry errors found. Most of the time you can selectively fix specific items or choose to automatically repair them all.

Another way these tools stand out is by managing the Windows startup sequence to reduce the time it takes to start your computer.

Knowing more about Windows registry repair can help you select the best course of action when registry repair is necessary. If you don’t have the time, the experience, or the patience to work through your computer’s registry issues manually, you may want to consider one of these tools that are designed specifically for analyzing and repairing registry issues.

For more information about Windows registry repair and some popular tools built for this purpose, check out my article at http://reg-tuner.com/registry-repair-review

If your computer has become increasingly error-prone and slow, chances are that there is something wrong with its registry. It is the place where a log of all the events, such as install, un-install and setups, to mention only a few, are stored. With continued usage and increasing burden, the registry could sometimes get confused and store files wrong too. This is what makes PC’s more error prone, apart from slowing them down considerably. There are specific repair programs available in the market which will help you remove registry errors. With so many similar kinds of repair programs available, sometimes choosing the right one may seem like a daunting task. There are some great tips though; using which you can choose the right registry cleaner. They are as follows:

1. Many of the programs that you come across will offer what a demo version of the actual software for free. You can try and remove registry errors using the free scan. Not only will the free scan give you an idea about the number of errors in your PC, but it will also help you get a hang of the particular program.

2. While a good program should help you remove registry errors, it should also contain another important feature, that of back-up. This is important, since there are always chances that something might go wrong during the cleanup process. With the back-up feature, you can always restore everything to its initial state.

3. While it is important that the program that you choose should remove registry errors, the product should also be easy to use and manage too. There is no use in going for a program that is complicated and leaves you confused. Make sure that the software that you get comes with a detailed user manual. The features too should be such that they allow you to remove registry errors without any problem.

A registry Cleaner will definitely cleanup a computer from errors that often cause it to crashes, freezes, and make the applications and tasks run slower than they are supposed to. A good registry repair program will scan and restore your PC, optimize performance, protect your computer, make it run faster as well as others basic functions.

For many people who do not know that their computer has on it, a registry cleaner can be a great idea. Oftentimes, people have computers for a year and two, and then begin to experience slower speeds when they are using it. This is not usually a problem with the hardware of the computer, but the actual software of the computer has become clogged. People sometimes install programs, and then never uninstall them. You may have thousands of videos you have watched, but never deleted off your hard drive. Any time you are having a slow down on a older computer, you should try a registry clean up.

Before you start your registry clean up, you should remove any programs that you no longer use. You can do this by going into the add/remove program utility in your windows control panel. Once you have removed these programs, make sure to delete them from the recycle bin as well. A great tool that will do this, and even more is the disk cleanup utility. It removes temporary internet files, cache, and recycle bin files to help increase the space available for other files on your hard drive.

Now that you have removed all the files that you can, purchase a registry cleaner. A registry cleaner is the tool that will be able to do a registry clean-up for you. While there may be a free registry cleaner that does an alright job, there are very few that will not further infect your computer, or that have unlimited features as free software. Purchasing a registry cleaner also offers you support in the rare case a malfunction does occur with the program. Now that you have purchased your registry cleaner, install it. Before you begin your registry cleaning, you will want to make a backup of your registry. You can do this by going into the start menu, run, and type “regedit”. A window will pop up, click on file, and then export to get a copy of your registry. Make sure to put this on a piece of removable media such as a CD, DVD or USB stick.

Then run the registry clean-up. The registry cleaner will remove excess program files from windows installer, replace DLL files that are missing, and also find any deep rooted infections from viruses or spyware in your registry. While the registry cleaner will usually find a lot of the problem files, it may not always find everything. You should remove the problems that the registry cleaner has found and then restart your computer in order to allow the registry to reboot in a clean state. With the removal of all of these excess files, you should see a dramatic increase in speed. While not all registry cleaners work equally, most will be able to save you anywhere from five to thirty seconds off the startup time of your computer. Many files are placed onto your computer by programs that you use one time, and then forget about. In order to remove these files, and any potential infections you will want to use a proven registry cleaner to clean out all of your computer’s problems.

For the past month now my computer has been slowing down drastically. I have tried every single virus scanner I can find and none of them found any viruses, so I was clueless as to how I was supposed to fix a problem that I couldn’t even diagnose. So I called my cousin who’s best friend is a computer technician. His friend said that more than likely there was a problem with my registry, if it was not a virus. I asked him what I should do about it and he said “you need to either fix it yourself or pay me to do it”. I told him “I don’t know how to fix it, and I don’t really have the money to spend to fix it”, because he charges $50 just to check it out…He said, “well then I guess I could let you in on a little secret, it’s what I use”. “It’s called RegTOOL, it automatically straightens out your registry files and speeds up your computer in the process. ” He told me to look it up and download it.

I went to the site for RegTOOL and was pleased to see that it was backed by a money back guarantee. I felt sure I had finally found the problems to my computers problems. I downloaded RegTOOL and then ran a scan, and in literally 10 minutes my computer’s speed had doubled. I was so happy that I decided I should write this testimony to let others know how I fixed my computer.

I also found several other useful features in the software as well, including the ability to save a backup of all of your computers files, in case something happens during or after the scan. This will keep you from ever having to worry about malicious viruses, known as malware, deleting your system files. If anything ever happens you can simply revert the computer back to the state it was in at the time of the last scan. SO it speeds your computer up and protects it from being damaged by viruses! How cool is that?

I would recommend RegTOOL to anyone who is having problems with the speed of their computer. It truly has worked wonders for me, and I am sure you will find the same results.

Choosing the best reg cleaner might not be easy since a computer user will only be sure whether the product is good or not after it has been used and the effects on the computer can be assessed. However, there are certain basic functions that a registry cleaner should be able to do before it can even be considered an effective utility tool.

In finding the best reg cleaner, a computer user should look into products that have more than low prices and good packaging to offer. To make sure that you will be getting your money’s worth, consider the following capabilities.

1) Detect the errors that cause problems to the computer. The more number of errors it can detect, the better it is. However, quantity should not be enough. A good registry cleaner should also be able to identify error files that cause the computer to freeze, slowdown and crash. Some errors may appear on the error list but their effect on the system might be negligible and removing them will just be a waste of time.

2) Repair common ActiveX errors. Although there are simple steps that allow a computer user to repair ActiveX errors, there are certain types of these computer problems that cannot be repaired in such a way. For these more advanced types, a registry cleaner should be able to do the job. ActiveX errors are usually caused by misconfigured files and erroneous browser settings.

3) Remove unnecessary browser helper object (BHO). A BHO is designed as a plugin for Microsoft’s web browser, the Internet Explorer. Infected BHOs can cause problems to a computer’s operations by making it easy for unauthorized users to change the browser’s interface which could lead to a host of operational problems. The job of a registry utility tool is to remove these unnecessary BHOs and with it, the problems they created.

4) Defrag. A registry cleaner should be able to prevent or reduce fragmentation in the computer’s file system. Fragmentation is when a file system is unable to sequentially lay out related data which leads to content modification. An effective registry utility software device should have the ability to promote content organization among the files contained in the computer.

5) Automatically create backups. This is one of the most important features of a good registry tool. In some cases, files that are still needed by the program are included in the error list and deleted by the tool. Registry tools that have backup capabilities can eliminate the danger of totally losing important files and data that are still needed by a computer to become operational.

The best reg cleaner does not necessarily mean that it should be the cheapest available nor it is the one with the most number of features. In searching for an appropriate registry cleaner software, consider the list above and select your brand based on these considerations.

Slow performance and crashing down of hardware—these are two things you don’t want to happen to your computer. One of the culprits of poor computer performance is a corrupted Windows registry.

Simply defined, the Windows registry stores all the information about the computer as well as the configurations of the software and hardware components installed in the computer. Over time, the constant use of registry causes it to expand beyond its limit. Moreover, viruses and spyware can corrupt a computer’s registry. These situations lead to slow computer speeds. Worse, it can bug down your operating system, which in turn results in a crash. Even if you delete programs in your computer, some of them will not remove themselves completely from the registry. To keep your computer bug-free, you need to know how to clean registry.

You can clean your computer’s registry in two ways. The first way is to clean it manually using the Windows Registry Editor. Cleaning the registry manually should be done only by someone who has enough understanding of what the registry entries mean. If important registry entries are deleted, several software programs may not work properly. So it’s better to ask help from someone who is knowledgeable about computers.

How to clean registry? First, you have to make a registry backup and get rid of unnecessary files. Here’s how to do it:

1. Click on the “Start” button at the lower left area of the desktop.

2. Click “Run.” A window that runs commands will appear.

3. Type regedit.

4. Click OK.

5. Click “File,” which can be found at the top of the window.

6. Click “Export.”

7. Create a name for the backup file.

8. Click “Save.”

Once you’re done, your next step is to see how your computer is configured by going to the left panel of the registry editor window. To expand the sections there, click on the plus sign. A commonly used area for manually removing registry files and making registry changes is “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.”

If you‘re unsure about manually cleaning your computer’s registry by yourself, then your other option is to use a registry cleaning software. A lot of registry cleaning tools that can get rid of unwanted entries from your computer’s registry are available on the Internet nowadays.

Registry cleaning programs work by scanning the Windows registry and deleting errors in the registry entries. These programs give a list of results and specify which ones are safe or not safe to remove. Although most registry cleaners perform the same basic functions, not all of them are created equal. Some registry cleaning programs work best for your needs; others don’t.

Like most people, nobody wants to spend their hard earned cash on something that seems relatively pointless. OK, so your computer isn’t running as fast as it used to, but why should I fork out money when I know I can get it for free on the Internet?

It’s certainly true that there are many sites on the net that will offer you a free download of their software, which will, normally, give you an idea of the number, and types of problems, you currently have on your machine. They may also provide a “fix” program to eliminate these problems, which, of course sounds ideal.

The problem is that whilst this can be a short term benefit, you will very quickly realise that options you now find that you need, are not included in the package. One of the most obvious is an automatic backup – just in case – which is not always provided with freeware.

Possibly the smartest thing to do is to take a registry cleaning tool on a trial period. The vast majority of reputable companies will always allow this. This gives you the chance to check out exactly what you will get for your money, and, if you’re not happy about it, you can get your money back – no problem.

What I’ve found, is that more and more people are searching the web, but not necessarily for the registry repair tools they ultimately want to download (free), or buy, but they are looking at the reviews of the various options available, thereby giving themselves the opportunity to make the right choice. By doing this, you should be able to almost have a tailor-made cleaner for your PC or laptop.

Personally, I would do a bit of research, and invest a few dollars in a registry repair tool, simply because you’ll have far more options to be able to use, and, at the end of the day, they don’t cost an enormous amount of money.

The windows registry is one of if not the most important component of your windows operating system(OS). Because of this it must be clean and free of errors for your PC to run smooth and error free.

In this article I will try and give you some best practices and guidelines to repairing the windows registry.

First thing you should know is that manually editing the registry is not for the average user, there are hundreds of thousands of entries in the windows registry and changing or deleting the wrong one can cause your PC to stop booting forever, Yes I said STOP BOOTING FOREVER.

If you have manually edited the windows registry and now you cannot boot your only choice may be to re-install windows, if that does not work you may have to wipe your hard drive and start fresh, this can be a major pain trying to find all the drivers and support software for your system.

Assuming you have not manually edited your registry, the next thing you should know is that there are a ton of different registry repair software tittles available on the market.

This brings me to my own little rule for working any problem with windows, The rule of three, is my personal rule,. And it states that anything you want to do in windows you should have three different pieces of software to achieve. I have found that no matter how good the software or how many promises they make you, no one piece of software can do the job completely. To really get things done in windows requires a multi pronged approached. If I want to clean the adware or spyware off of my system I will use three different programs, Adaware, Spybot S&D, and Spyware blaster. Run them one at a time and then follow their instructions.

I use this same rule for the Registry Three different programs that all do the same thing but in different ways. The reason this is necessary is because windows is so complex and so is the registry, one piece of software may not find things another will, If after running the third piece of registry repair software it does not find anymore problems with your registry you can feel pretty good that your Windows registry of clean and error free.

Run the 1st piece of registry repair software, when it finds errors, and it will, select the fix option, or repair option, do NOT choose Delete. This forces the software to try to find solutions to the problems in your registry. Most Registry repair software will do the best it can to fix the problems and any it can’t fix, it will delete. Some will try to fix and then come back to the user with results of the repair/fix attempt and ask what to do with the errors it could not fix. At this point you would select delete.

Now run the second piece of registry repair software and do the same thing as before.

Now run the third registry repair software tittle and do the same thing as before.

At this point your registry is good to go and things should boot faster and have less errors.

One last thing, some Registry repair software has an option to do deep cleaning or aggressive search, I do not recommend these options as they may damage the registry, and we are trying to repair the registry.

A lot of confusion surrounds the registry repair cleaner tool and what it does exactly. In fact, you may be like most computer owners and not even be aware that such a tool exists. Most people that own a computer never find out how a registry repair cleaner can help them until they begin experiencing computer problems. It becomes an important lesson because if the user had been using a registry cleaner on a regular basis the computer problems that are regularly associated with the registry might have been avoided in the first place.

Before you begin to understand the relevance of what task a registry repair cleaner performs, you should learn what a computer registry is. If, like most people, you are running Microsoft Windows as your operating system; then your computer has a registry. The registry is integral to the Windows operating system so much so that without it Windows would not be able to run at all.

The registry is the facility within the computer where Windows stores the certain data and information that requires easy access whenever needed. Without becoming too technical, the items often stored within the registry include: Hardware drivers, System settings, system preferences, system configurations, information about applications that run at start up, software shortcuts, and software installation information.

The more you use your computer the more data and information gets filed within the registry but when you delete software or programs you probably think it will be gone, deleted completely. Unfortunately, this is not always the case as there are often still fragments of data left behind in the registry. This data and information is useless but it slowly builds up and while it no longer exists to your computer it still occupies valuable space in the registry.

Your registry tries to cope with this but eventually it will have an adverse effect on the operating system and your computer may begin exhibiting problems that you never encountered before. Sometimes you will be fortunate enough to be provided with an actual error message telling you that a problem exists within the registry. However, for the majority of the time, the problems are usually more subtle, and you may have no clue as to what the cause might be. Registry problem symptoms can include: operating system crash (blue screen of death), applications and software either taking forever to open or not opening at all, application or software crashes (when the program or software being run reports an error and shuts down), or even just an overall slowing down of your computer.

These problems can be a huge nuisance but with the prudent use of the right software in a regular routine of preventive action they can be easily fixed and even avoided. All you have to do is obtain a registry repair cleaner as this software is designed specifically to make sure your registry is kept clean of unnecessary files and data, it also keeps your computer and operating system running at their optimum level.

The registry is oftentimes referred to as the heart of your computer. Technically speaking, the registry is where the large chunks of data are stored and accessed by your computer whenever your operating system interacts with both the hardware and the software programs.

When you install a software program for instance, your operating system will store certain information or data. In effect, it can get and fragmented, and it can get dirty as well, or can hold information that may be harmful to your computer – things that will definitely affect the performance and health of your computer. It is therefore important to fix it. But what do you do if you are not a technical geek?

Generally speaking, windows registry is something that one should not mess with. Fixing issues and concerns can be complicated and may result to more damage than not when one attempts to fix it. When you accidentally delete the wrong things, it can even render your computer useless. Ordinary people are usually warned not to fix windows registry on their own.

Here are some of the things that will tell you that there is something wrong with your computer. The most noticeable symptom of a corrupted registry is that when your computer slows down and you experience any or all of the following:

(1) your computer freezes and all you get is a blank screen;

(2) windows operating system error;

(3) computer malfunction;

(4) frequent system crashes.

You may ask why the windows operating system will become corrupted. Here are some of the reasons:

(1) you frequently install and uninstall programs;

(2) incorrect installation and un-installation of programs;

(3) unused or corrupted drivers.

When you get rid of windows errors, you will experience considerable improvement in the performance and speed of your computer, regardless of how old or how young your computer is. Performance and speed of your computer is not so much dependent on the physical age of the computer but how often things change in your computer.

And unless you’re an expert as far as fixing the windows registry of your computer is, it is prudent and highly recommended not to tinker with your computer. The good news is, even when you are not an expert you can still fix your computer on your own – with the best windows registry fix software.

These software programs can automatically fix everything without the high risk associated with manual fix. These programs will certainly empower you to maintain the good health and performance of your computer.

You computer slows down because it accumulates all sorts of data, programs and other bits of information throughout it’s operational life. It is a natural consequence that it will slow down over time until one day it doesn’t work or you replace it with a newer model. Gee, it’s a pretty tough life for your poor old computer – shape up or it’s the scrap heap for you. But there is something you can do to increase the longevity of your computer and ultimately speed it up when you are using it. This article will cover three ways how to speed up your computer.

1. Clean up your desktop – The desktop is where things go when you use them often. However if you have a lot of stuff, quite often it ends up on the desktop because you have no other place to put it. If you don’t use stuff often then take it off the desktop and put is in a folder down the tree.

2. Check up the programs that run on start up. Sometimes you manually decide that a program should run on start up. Other times, the programs makes the decision for you without asking. In the case of a firewall or an internet meter, this is fine but many other programs that you don’t need to run may also put themselves in the start up folder. Check this every so often as too many programs running chews up the RAM memory of you computer. This will slow down your computer. Removing them will speed it up.

3. Run scheduled scans. Everyone has, or at least should have, virus protection. Viruses can tinker with the very foundations that make your computer run. Removing viruses is essential. The same goes for adware. This can be frustrating as it can degrade the performance of internet usage and can use disk space on your computer. Get an adware checker and run this scan every week.

Bonus Tip

If your computer system uses windows operating systems like XP or Vista, then cleaning the registry file could increase the speed of your computer. You can do this manually or with a software program. Using software is the easiest option and a better use of your time.

Get your computer back up to speed with a registry cleaner fixer, simply click on Regtool review for more details on how you can have your computer back to normal in minutes.

Blue screen of death error messages can still occur with the Windows system even though it is extremely secure. XP errors are almost impossible to understand and analyze.

You have probably realised it is time to begin running a few tests when the computer begins to slow down, you need to discover what’s going on here.

Do not start reinstating your operating system, reformatting your hard drive and jumping to the conclusion that your complete system has been corrupted.

There are possibilities that this course of action could put paid to your problem but most of the time this won’t be the case. Only if all else fails when you have experienced blue screen of death error messages, might it be the right time to begin thinking about reformatting your PC.

Restarting your system is my first suggestion as to what to try in this situation. It would be a sound idea in my opinion to keep it shut down for around 1/2 an hour, then start your Windows defrag program.

If you don’t already own a registry cleaner, your built in defragmentation program should do quite a good job at cleaning your hard disc.

How to perform a defrag.

1. Go to “all programs” you’ll find this in your start menu.
2. Take the accessories option.
3. You will now be able to click disc defragmentation which you’ll find in system tools.
4. From the disc defrag window you can perform the “analyze”.

As soon as analyzing has concluded it will let you know whether or not you need to defragment the volume.
All good registry cleaning software will come with the offer of a free scan and they do a much better, more thorough job than a defrag.

A defrag can take hours to finish it’s job.

Try to be sure you’ve nothing important that needs doing on your PC when your defrag is scheduled, possibly when you are turning in for the night.

Windows will often lose files and drop them in out of reach areas. When your system wants to get to them fast it is a lot more difficult. The first job a registry cleaner will do is place the most commonly used files in faster access areas. . These registry cleaners are also well known for putting all of the scattered defragmented files together and clearing them from your hard drive. All the files that are causing your system to slow will be included in these.

There are more ways than 1 to set off the blue screen of death error messages. It’s a real possibility that your computer’s random access memory isn’t working correctly. You can insert a new one into the computer’s mother board if faulty ram is indeed your problem.

Is your computer problem too many networks running at one time?

Many different connections to Internet, office servers or Blue-tooth networks, can jam up the virtual memory space. You could attempt restarting after disconnecting from all of the networks. The moment you restart your system it will run noticeably faster if the problem was accumulated networks. The same problem will come back as all the networks are linked back up.

Run your printer and blue-tooth networks only when they are required if this is the case.

If you need to fix a registry problem make sure to get a recommended windows registry repair utility.
